That last panel would play better if this were a motion comic. There’d be a fancy shimmering effect as the wall fades away revealing an old wooden door, the iron of it’s fastenings marred by a lichen covering of rust.  The wood is old, iron gray and hard as rock, a barrier that has stood against the long, relentless ravages of time. You know, something like that.
