And so we say goodbye to Heva for now, left like the Tin-Man, alone in the woods, to ponder and decay. She will turn up again, but there’s no telling when, not for a year at least, possibly two. I’ve got the barest beginnings of her return sketched out in my head, yet not committed to paper, so I will forget about it and have to come up with something better, that’s the first step of my editing process, forgetting.

I almost had a theme going on this week. While finishing the pencils on this strip, I had thought that the last panel of everyday was going to be a silent panel, and I thought that was pretty neat! However, there were a few words in the last panel yesterday, and the last panel tomorrow is fairly chatty, but, the M-W-F strips are silent last panels so I’m going to claim credit for half a theme.
