Humelt is merely ‘A Stop Along the Way’ to Torgo. Yeah, events will take place that are specific to Humelt, but I see this as representative of anywhere the Menagerie may find itself during Merunga’s travels. In keeping with recent resolutions for myself, we’ll be here three-ish weeks. Longer than the Menagerie stopped at the Lime Fort, but a much shorter time than we were at the Stone. Writing stories to fit specific lengths, knowing exactly how many strips I have to fill, is a different feeling, and more challenging than I thought. But the stories that result will feel tighter, more to the point. I’m hoping to eliminate meandering trains of thought that don’t lead anywhere worth going.

Also, check out those buildings! No rulers were hurt in the making of this strip, which as I’m sure I’ve mentioned before, is part of the reason I wanted to do a fantasy-themed comic, I can not use rulers and it’s more easily forgiven. I am genuinely happy/proud of those little town pictures.
