The Sound in the Night
There are going to be quite a few wagons this week, for three strips I had to do some 3D work, and I’m liking the results. The 3D portion of the strip is not the most time consuming. I’d always figured it would be as I monkeyed around with the camera, trying to find the right frame and angle and scale for the shot. But that part, it isn’t hard. But drawing the actual wagons, that’s where the grind sets in. Once I get into the habit of cranking them out though, things won’t be so bad. Learning my visual shorthand for them, knowing what pieces go where instead of constantly going back to reference materials, that’ll speed things up nicely.
