The Ability to Speak Does Not Make You Intelligent
Chapter: Pretty Bird
Here we are at the end of our little side-trip. Next week we return to the Caravan, and I’m not sure what size it’s going to be.
The witch here will be returning sooner rather than later, and Pretty Bird too.
Nice research job on that strip and the former one. Did anyone look at you funny when you spent the week putting that dead poultry in awkward poses on your work table? Anyway the result is well worth it.
Last panel looks a *bit* like a last-minute addon, but I can only approve of the way it summarizes what would ha ve been less-interesting events.
Your double-line-bubbled approach to stern / injunctive (/ magic?) speech works well here, as it always did.
Minor niggle: the timeline is less clear than it could have been, perhaps because it is a bit hard to figure what’s happening in the middle-right frame, especially as it breaks the right strip border.
Lastly, speech is not indicative of intelligence. I can speak, for example. Also, PBR. Just sayin’
That’s left, Left middle panel, left border, sorry.
When I finished the strip, I realilzed I should have moved that panel over. I ended up with more space on the opposite side of the page than I thought I would have, so I really have no excuse. Chickens are crazy easy I think, to draw. Feathers are tough, I’ve still never drawn and Ekho I’m in love with, but chickens themselves, not a problem. They even look like chickens.
