Like Fathers, Like Sons
I am really happy with this page, I can’t exactly put my finger on why, but I like how it turned out in the end. It makes me excited for a story coming up, in which The Drivers and Vaagen will get their chance to take center stage.
Aaand there. NOW it’s officially worse.
Ha! Yeah! And there’s still one more attack to go.
I’m guessing eithers swallowed whole or some form life drain.
Also, do the Drivers have an actual name for their kind, or are they just called “Children of X”?
More of an Ozzy and a bat situation.
I suppose ‘Children of X’ is the best identifier. I always just call them the Drivers when I’m writing/planning, and haven’t looked much into a mythological or folk tale counterpart.
So twenty seconds later Google and Wikipedia tell me (the mildest of spoiler warnings) this, but I think what I’ve got in mind for them is enough outside of that concept that it’s not really the same thing.
Ah, Dhampirs, I guess that would make sense.
The way the driver’s silhouette and the tree form part of the border in the top panel is very cool.
Yeah! Thanks! I think it’s a lot of little things in the page that I really like, pieces here and there.
