I have the distinct pleasure of presenting the work of my brother in today’s strip. He was up for the holidays, and I’ve been hounding him anyway (some might say pestering,) to contribute art for this or any project. And since he was at my mercy for room and board at the time, he had no choice but to meet my demands. He’s always had a better command of shade and texture than I, a point of jealousy for me for many years, and calm, methodical command of putting pencil to paper. His pace and placement of graphite delivery is a well measure metronome of illustrative progress. I dash lead upon the page in frantic bursts of creative energy that once spent, require five minutes of time or more to recharge before the next mad orgy of creative mess-making.
I will continue to pester my brother to once again perform the art magic for me, but there is no telling when, or in what story his abilities will be made manifest. For now we must be content with this singular manifestation of his talented hands.
