Very Nearly There
#301, the first day of the last story before we finally reach Torgo. Torgo is so named because I like the sound of ‘Borgo Pass,’ that just sounds cool, and I wanted the Caravan to travel through the Borgo Pass, once again, because it sounds awesome. But, I thought it might be too much, and I didn’t want to give up the name that quickly, once they were through the Pass, why would I ever need to talk about it again?
So when working on the fourth story or our journey, I changed the name so radically, it sounds almost exactly the same. I don’t even think I ended up using the term ‘The Torgo Pass,’ which like forgetting about Chybi, was an oversight. Torgo was first mentioned less than a year ago, and at the time I thought I’d spend two years getting to it. I was young and foolish at the time, completely mystified by the concept of proper pacing. Today I’m older, wiser, and slightly better at it.
I am equal parts excited and scared about Torgo. Story wise, I know what’s going on. Visually however, visually, I know what I want it to look like, but I’m not confident in my ability to pull it off. If I could hire a team of VFX people to take care of it, I probably would.
