Did something happen to age Baba before her time? I thought she was the eldest sister? Or perhaps it’s the reverse, and her sisters simply made a deal to maintain their lives while Baba got something else…
Baba is in fact the youngest, but the first of the sisters to stop using her beauty treatments. I’ve got some more Baba/Vasilia stories planned for the daily(ish) strips, but the discussion about why Baba looks so much older than the other two is going to take place more in main story-line. Of which I’ve completed a third draft recently, and have even started to draw a little.
Interesting… It just seemed like Merunga deferred to Baba quite a bit when she first showed up in the story – I assumed it was the wisdom of age. Thanks for the comic – keep up the good work!
Ugh, she did, but unfortunately, I think that’s a plot point I’ve screwed up on. We’ll get around to it in the daily strips, I know what moment I’m aiming for there, but I dropped the ball on including it in the main story.
Hey, man! No worries, and not all that hard to “fix” – just figure Torgo gave her greater wisdom at greater cost. Don’t second guess yourself, just roll with what feels good. If you really don’t like it, go back afterwards and edit as you see fit. Just make sure to keep both versions, as they may be fun to compare someday!
