Interruptions
We’re getting close to the end of our current time at the Stone, only a few weeks left, and I’m going to miss it, but I am excited to be back on the road.
One of my regrets from our time here though, I wasted a perfect opportunity to design some kick-ass monsters. The Frank can build anything out of clay, I shouldn’t have been so shy in showing that on the page. I’m going to claim inexperienced artist as my defense, but I promise you I won’t waste another chance when it comes around.
Is the monster solid inside or does it have innards? Or, more specifically, will it eat its victims or just tear them apart?
That’s a good question, I would imagine solid, and it’s going to just tear it’s victims apart. I think the Frank cares more about the aesthetics than the functionality. Course then, why does it have/need a tongue?
I’d say the tongue is part of the aesthetics. Plus, if the beast can roar, I think it would need a tongue for that. Don’t doubt the Frank, he knows what he’s doing and how all the pieces should fit together on his creations.
Tongue is defo for the design. I always assumed the Franks’ creations were solid clay, but that’s an interesting question.
I’d guess “empty” designs would be very fragile by nature, as well as being harder to model, so that’s a No-No in the Franks’ world. Or sumfin’
Having a tongue doesn’t help with the roaring. Actually NOT having a tongue helps with the roaring. The ROAR comes from the throat. This comment brought to you by ROOOAAARRR.
The big hollow ones are made with sculpey, and you have to crinkle up just an absolute ton of aluminum foil to fill it out. The solid ones are more durable, and cheap.
