My hope for that last panel is that it looks like something is growing up out of the water. If I could ever animate something on a page, it would be this sequence here. From the falling of the seed to what we’ll see growing over the next few pages.

Yeah he does sort of look Kzin-y doesn’t he? I hadn’t really thought about it at the time, the Kzin connection. After telling my daughter what I was aiming for with Vasilia’s collection she suggested a cat creature and I went with it. If he does survive long enough to get a name, it’ll be Cazin.
