I tried to channel my inner Mignola, but I don’t have any inner Mignola so there’s that. I still really like it though.
‘Man in the Dark’ starts today. I’m always excited to start a new chapter, and I hope each chapter is better than the preceding chapter in some respect. Whether that’s art, story, or preferably both.
I wrote this one out as a 22 page book. I’m going to be sticking with that chapter length for the next little bit. I need more structure to prop up my writing. Get some more of the basics figured out before I start trying to break too many rules.
Looks promising already, and judging by the name of the chapter, I assume we’ll be in for some backstory for our favourite bloodsucker, hmm?
A little bit of backstory, a little bit of the stories people tell about him. Recently my editor (re: my wife,) helped me break down Vaagen’s overall story arc. It’s going to be a little different than I planned, happen a little sooner, but is going to be so much better.
